A little bit about me

After going through my breast cancer diagnosis, surgery, recovery and reconstruction, I just want to share some of my experiences with anyone who needs some support.

I am not a medical professional, but I have dealt with a fair bit over the past 18 months.  My aim is to be able to offer any advice or support to those who need it.

I was diagnosed with a high grade, extensive DCIS resulting in 3 invasive areas up to 5.2mm.  I had no symptoms and only found this out by a routine mammogram.  Thank god for the early screening, because had I not been seen for a couple of years, it would have been a whole different story.  I say I was lucky as I didn't have to go through chemo or radiotherapy, but it doesn't make my experience any less traumatic.

This blog is a work in progress, and I will be adding to the pages as things happen, or I remember more details.  Hopefully I haven't waffled too much!

If there is anything you need to know, and if I can help, I will.  Please just reach out.
