So since my last update, the appointment with the plastic surgeon was brought forward by a month so I could have a conversation about my concerns. I've not been feeling particularly happy with the result. They don't match and one is still much bigger. Everyone says, 'Give it time,' but I know in my heart this isn't changing anymore.
I took my husband with me to this appointment. He’s been with me through every appointment, but because of Covid-19 he wasn’t able to come to any with the plastic surgeon.
I stripped off and showed him my wares. ‘Arms up, arms to the side’.
Tilts head.
Has a feel.
And ponder.
Back to the consulting room.
He agreed that the uplift still hasn’t really given me full symmetry and that it is a lot bigger. So we have two options to look at.
Remove the implant and leave it as that
Remove the implant, replace with a a smaller one to maintain fullness in the upper part of the chest and remove any excess
He didn’t really elaborate as to why during the last surgery the option to remove the bigger implant and replace with a smaller one wasn’t an option. We didn't really talk about anything. I just left it to him, the expert in his field to do what was necessary to get a better match. ’m not doctor, so I’d like to believe they have their reasons. But I can’t help wonder. I’m currently left feeling like I’m the one with the problem. Like a fussy customer. His option 3 was... ‘ I can always refer you to a good psychologist to help with your body image issues!’ WTF. EXCUSE ME!
